Job Description:
Transitions Rehabilitation is now seeking a Speech Therapist to work Saturdays. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, and direct Speech Language Pathology Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Required Skills:
Must possess a Masters Degree in Speech Language pathology from an accredited college or university and meet the standards for registration as a Speech Language Pathologist with the American Speech and Hearing Association. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures etc., of the Speech Language Pathology service. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing therapy services.
Preferred Skills:
General knowledge of geriatric treatments, discharge planning, Medicare billing and Medicare paperwork requirements. Good customer service and organizational skills. Have the ability to plan your own day and set your own schedule.
